NAIS page is now up...

Read the whole nasty disgusting thing here.
It's purty durn long, so plan accordingly.

A very special THANX and a big, wet, sloppy White Trash kiss goes to Patrick at Born Again Redneck for helping me out on this and pointing out a rather obvious solution to posting this epic.

BTW, I meant to tell you that your profile pic looks just like Cecil Rhodes, my big red rooster whom I might have eat this weekend because he is getting too rough with the hens.

Yep, it's gettin' to be that time of year!
I got about 5 likely candidates for the stewpot right now, they're all just being idiots with the hens and each other. They're just BEGGING me...everytime they crow,I swear it sounds like they're saying: "Put me in the pot!"
I must oblige them.

I figure eat them before they get too stringy. Today my little man, Bertie the bantam game-cock, was attacked by Cecil and badly hurt and he is a better husband than Cecil. Cecil is toast or is that roast. I see Cookie hangs out here too. I'll have to read your recipes.

I hear ya on the stringy part! A pressure cooker works good on those boys, I've canned naughty roosters in the past, as in put up in jars with the meat & broth. The results were tasty & tender-made the best chicken and noodles!
Once a body gets a taste of 'yard bird' they're ruined for the store boughten Tyson penitentiary birds for good.

Sounds like Cecil is doomed for sure, overly aggressive roosters always end up in the freezer here. Bertie maybe small, but he has leadership qualities and that's what you want for a happy flock.
Jeez, lissen to us go on...folks will be thinkin' we like chickens or something!
