TTLB Gets It Together
Oh great, I'm a Maurading Marsupial. Where I come from that means I'm now a nocturnal nastyass critter that digs through the trash and rips the guts outta chickens...in other words, a possum. I hate friggin' possums.
I liked it better when I was an Adorable Rodent.
I always suspected evolution was full of it.
Of course a prehensile tail is kinda cool...

What's funny is that a rodent is higher on the evolutionary scale than a marsupial.
Not by much I suspect.
Marsupials are just plain odd, but possums are disgusting to boot.
Easy to shoot, though...
They taste good. Like very good pork roast.

My ma always told the story of when she had possum ,as a kid at an aunt's. Her aunt had even "dressed" it all up-roasted it whole, with the head still on and a ta'mater stuck in it's mouth!
Ma said it was the greasiest, nastiest meat she'd ever tasted. Raccoon was the same, in her opinion, too.
Around here the hard core old timers prefer 'whistle pig' (groundhog) over possum.
Our cats hate possums. I keep finding the bottom halves of baby possums lying around. I think they like eating the head (crunchy) but find the rest nasty.
Ewwwww! There's a joke there somewhere, but even I won't go there!
