Liz...I've been perusing many blogs this AM, and many are reflecting this very same attitude you have addressed...will we ever be the same again? I also have felt this for some time now, and have left comments on various blogs reflecting on what I've said here...about our National pride, seeming lack of patriotism amongst our young, love of country not being taught in the home or school...and it all saddens me. Folks like you and I, and a diminishing group of others, are "The Old Guard".
So...you're not alone in your observations nor your feelings, there quite a bit of it out there in the blogosphere....
