Go back to the Old Testament and see what God Himself said to do the the people in the promised land.

I can't give chapt. & verse, but didn't God tell them IF you do this then your people will live without fear forever? But then somewhere along the way they strayed from the plan, noticed some of the young tribeswomen were kinda foxy&fine and their daddies had money, so they began to strike deals with the tribes they were suppose to wipe out.
Seems to me I recall that somewhere in the historical parts of the OT. (it's early..ain't had my coffee.)
Anyway, long story short-they didn't do as God said and now look where we are at.
